About

my cartoon.jpg

Carolyn is an illustrator, henna artist, textile artist, muralist and photographer.

Her work celebrates color, connection, nature, soul, and joy. The inspiration comes from her love for the human experience and the amazing planet Earth, which she loves to explore. You can usually see bits of places she has travelled in her illustrations. The colors of the tropics, the mountains of Nepal, the stupas of Southeast Asia, red rocks of the Southwest, the gumdrop mountains and turquoise waters of the Virgin Islands. Her art reflects what she has become: a collection of the philosophies she explored, the people she met, and the inspirations she’s gathered in the years she spent traveling and exploring life in her twenties, and credits the beautiful island of St. John for uncovering her true nature as an artist in her thirties.

It was here that she lived in its supportive embrace, surrounded by its abundance of color and jaw dropping beauty where she discovered that creativity poured out of her effortlessly and ultimately shaped her into the artist she is today.

After Hurricane Irma hit the island in 2017 and her home was destroyed, she returned to Massachusetts, where she was born and raised, and currently lives in Leverett, Massachusetts.

The goal of her art is to spread joy, inspire and connect.

She is happy to be partnered up with https://onetreeplanted.org and plants a tree for every order.
